The reference line integrates the main process units required for a practical putty powder plant. Each module can be adjusted to the recipe, target output, bag size and available factory space.

Compact Cronus dry mortar mixer with screw conveyor, storage hopper and packing machine
01

Screw Feeding

Enclosed Φ165 conveyors move powder with wear-resistant manganese-steel flights and reduce manual handling.

02

Weightless Mixing

A single-shaft horizontal rotor lifts and crosses the material repeatedly, building a fast three-dimensional mixing zone.

03

Buffer & Discharge

A fast butterfly valve releases each batch into a finished-product hopper so mixing and packing can work in sequence.

04

Packing & Dust Control

An impeller packing unit, local extraction points and pulse filter keep the work area cleaner and recover valuable powder.

Working principle

A clear six-step production flow

Dry ingredients are proportioned, transferred and mixed in batches. The line isolates powder transfer and discharge points, then sends finished material to packing without interrupting the next mixing cycle.

  1. 01

    Feed

Base powder and fillers enter through the enclosed conveyor.

  2. 02

    Meter

Ingredients are added according to the approved formulation.

  3. 03

    Mix

Rotor blades create opposing convection and diffusion zones.

  4. 04

    Discharge

The pneumatic butterfly valve releases the uniform batch quickly.

  5. 05

    Buffer

The finished-product hopper decouples mixing from packing.

  6. 06

    Pack

Powder is filled into bags while pulse filtration captures dust.

Why the mixer works

Rapid convection without grinding the formula

The rotor does not rely on long tumbling time. Angled mixing elements push part of the batch outward and part inward while also lifting material into a temporary low-gravity zone. Fine additives disperse through the moving bulk rather than remaining in dead corners.

  • Uniform distribution: suited to formulas with cement, calcium carbonate, cellulose ether and small-dose additives.
  • Short batch cycle: fast movement supports higher hourly throughput from a compact chamber.
  • Gentle handling: designed to blend dry ingredients without unnecessary particle breakage.
  • Clean discharge: a large bottom outlet helps minimize residue between batches.

Cronus line advantages

Designed around production, not just mixing

01

Consistent batches

Coordinated feeding, mixing and discharge reduce variation caused by manual transfer.

02

Compact footprint

Vertical material flow and modular conveyors fit workshops where floor area is limited.

03

Dust-conscious design

Enclosures, pickup points and pulse filtration help control airborne powder at key operations.

04

Wear-aware construction

Thickened mixer plates and manganese-steel screw flights are specified at high-contact areas.

05

Serviceable modules

Inspection access, standard pneumatic parts and a clear line layout simplify routine maintenance.

06

Flexible automation

Manual, semi-automatic or PLC-based controls can be selected to match labor and recipe needs.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers before you specify a line

Send the formula range, required output and factory dimensions for an engineered recommendation.

Ask an Engineer
What products can this dry mortar line manufacture?

It can be configured for wall putty, tile adhesive, masonry mortar, repair mortar, skim coat, gypsum plaster and other premixed dry powders. The exact mixer, dosing and packing method depends on the formula.

What is the output of the supplied reference line?

The documented 1.3 m³ single-shaft line is designed for approximately 2 t/h. Actual output depends on bulk density, batch loading, mixing time, feeding speed and packing speed.

How does a single-shaft weightless mixer work?

Angled rotor elements move materials in opposing axial and radial directions while lifting part of the batch. This produces rapid convection and diffusion through the chamber for uniform dry blending.

How long does one mixing batch take?

Cycle time is formulation-specific. It includes feeding, dry mixing and discharge, so Cronus confirms the operating cycle after reviewing the raw materials and additive percentage.

Can small-dose additives be mixed uniformly?

Yes, provided the dosing accuracy, addition sequence and minimum inclusion rate are properly engineered. For very low-dose ingredients, a premix step may be recommended.

Can the line include automatic weighing and PLC control?

Yes. The system can be supplied with manual feeding, semi-automatic controls or automatic weighing and recipe management, depending on capacity, number of ingredients and budget.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Please provide the product formula or main raw materials, target output, bulk density if known, bag weight, local voltage/frequency, factory dimensions and desired automation level.

How is dust controlled?

Enclosed transfer points and extraction hoods connect to a pulse dust collector. The reference line uses a 16-bag collector; airflow and filter area are recalculated for larger systems.

What power supply can be provided?

Motors and control components can be selected for the destination voltage and frequency. Share the site power standard before the order is confirmed.

How much workshop space is required?

That depends on whether the line uses a compact horizontal layout or a vertical tower. Cronus prepares a layout drawing after receiving the building length, width, clear height and column positions.

Which parts wear most often?

Mixer blades and seals, screw flights, packing impellers, filter bags and pneumatic seals should be inspected routinely. Abrasive sand formulations generally increase wear.

Does Cronus provide installation and commissioning?

Yes. Foundation information and installation guidance are provided. Remote support or on-site commissioning can be arranged according to the project scope and destination.

How should the mixer be cleaned between formulas?

Use the inspection access and bottom discharge to remove residue, following the lockout procedure. The required cleaning method depends on color change, additive compatibility and contamination limits.
